JGY RB Powered Mustang

We started this project in October of 2005. That is when we bought the car. It ran.........just was really slow. It was an ongoing project for us. We worked on it in between customer installs and when we had free time. To our dismay, a freaking movie came out during the project that had a similar car in it! This car was finished by August 2006.

What in the .... !!!!! ????? Yup it’s a Ford. JGY's Newest project car (Due to start this winter) a 93 4cyl LX called the Mustank, will be transformed into the "SKYPONY". Powered by a JDM RB25DET enough said.

In Sept. 2006, we entered it into the NOPI Nationals in Atlanta and freaking won 1st place for Asian Motor Swap all category. Needless to say, we were not the only RB25DET install there, but we were the only RB25DET install into a Ford with the JGY fuel kit, 600HP turbo! This motor can easily handle 500 WRHP and it commonly done by upgrading the fuel/turbo/ecu systems. We are running 21psi and estimate about 550 at the crank. There are many things that are not seen that had to take place to make this project come to life. The change from a cable clutch to a hydraulic clutch was no easy task. The car is now 5 lug but has the factory 4cylinder components.....yes we machined them into 5 lug. The intercooler is hidden under the front of the car so you can't tell it's a turbo motor. The rear end was changed to a 2.73 5L rear, then to a 3.73 rear. The motor mounts would in theory allow you to put the car back to a Ford motor. They are custom mounts that bolt to the motor and to the frame, no hacking anything. The sway bar had to be relocated to allow the oil pan to fit.

This car is not done. We are in the process of changing the interior and having the bay painted. Hey, soft blue is cool, but GT black is better. We are going to change all the gauges and the seats. Don't get us wrong, this is a HP car, not a show car. It's was built to go fast while looking good.

Yes, the mount kit, drive shaft, and install are available.
